Social and Emotional Development: Children begin to understand the meaning of friendship by the time they’re 4 years old. They hug each other or sit with their arms around one another as they read a book. They begin identifying their feelings. At Kiddie Corner Academy we encourage children to discuss their emotions, to tell friends why they are special and to share enthusiasm for new people and new things.

At Kiddie Corner Academy, the health, safety, and security of children entrusted in our care is our No. 1 priority. Listed below are just some of the measures we have in place to ensure your children grow and learn in the safest environment possible.

CPR/First Aid - Our staff is trained to administer First Aid and infant, child, or adult CPR if necessary.

Emergencies - Our staff is trained on how to handle emergency situations such as storms, tornados, fires, and lockdowns. We have written policies and procedures in place for such situations and regularly conduct safety drills to ensure proper preparation in case of an emergency.

Playgrounds - Our enclosed play areas include five separate age appropriate playgrounds. Our playground equipment is well maintained and tested regularly to ensure that they are safe and working properly.

Classrooms - Each classroom is designed to include age-appropriate toys and equipment. Our open classroom layout and organized classrooms are designed to maximize safety and supervision.

Key Pad Entry - To keep our staff and children safe, all access doors are secured with key pad entries. Only employees, parents, and approved visitors are allowed access to our hallways and classrooms. Visitors must present valid photo identification and be on the child's approved drop-off/pick-up list.

Video Camera - Video cameras are outfitted in all classrooms, hallways, access doors, and offices allowing regular monitoring by the administration throughout the day.
